Player Systems and Account Keeping
It is easy to test simple blackjack systems. Just enter the value you will stand on normally and also enter the value you will stand on in the event your hand contains an ace while not exceeding this value if the ace is counted as eleven. You can also opt to split the hand whenever possible.
Account Keeping
This is where you decide on:
- the maximum number of hands you wish to simulate
- How you intend to round your bets to match minimum betting increments imposed by the house
- Whether to bet a set or fixed amount, a predetermined percentage of the reserve, or triple the last losing bet (If the last bet was a winner, then the bet is reduced to the minimum set for tripling.
- Whether to quite when the shoe runs out of cards, when the cash on hand drops below a minimum reserve amount, or nett profit reaches a predetermined amount.
Be sure you understand the account keeping methods you intend to use, and be sure to enter them correctly or the results will be inaccurate. Good account keeping practices can help minimise your losses when playing a bad system.
